My words, his voice

Once I wrote a handwritten material for a debate competition in school I had participated

But it was performed by another student

Words were mine, but the voice was his

In 11th standard, I took part in an Inter-school Debate competition

We were asked to write the material & teachers will select the best the content material

All the participants wrote their own ideas & thoughts

On 3rd day everyone submitted their handwritten material

To my surprise, my material was selected

I was very excited & happy

The next day teacher called us and asked us to speak up our own written material

2 days later I was told I was not selected but I was asked to submit my material

The teacher really liked my material and choice of words, instead of giving me the opportunity

She took my written piece and gave to another student

Why?

Because I have a stammering issue & they thought they had more chance of winning with another student

I always wanted to be part of school plays and debates, but I was never given the chance only.
